Better prices and more dunes at Saharun 2011!

The departure date of Saharun 2011 had to be modified with few days because of the ferry schedules, but there will be more etaps of sandy areas. The target naturally remains the same – Tunisia, so the run can remain rich in adventures, and be full of tourist isolated areas!

The main change is that on the 1400 km long route in Europe optional attractions will await the participants, and the real competition starts in Tunisia. Thanks to this modification, the asphalt part will not be so stressed, and the technology can arrive to Africa safe. Next to the standard GPS based itinerary, real cross-country itinerary is waiting for those who want to fight!

Further change that the start and finish dates of the run had to be modified because of the recently changed and extremely rarefied winter ferry schedules. Because of this, the departure will be on Wednesday, 16th February 2011 in Budapest, and the roundrace will depart from Tunis on 19th February. After nine days of tough competition and adventure, the run will finish on Sunday, 27th February. This means, that for those participants, who can solve the delivery of the car to and from Tunis will only have to take five days off, to explore also the mystical tourist isolated areas of Tunisia.

The shorter race is not only modifying the free days you need from work, but the race costs got more economical. The prices got significantly lower. The deadline of this period is 10th December 2010.
Race category entries: 600 EUR/person, Adventure category entries: 350 EUR/ person, and the vehicle's registration fee is FREE OF CHARGE forever!

WARNING! The entry period is also shorter! 14th January 2011 is the final deadline for applying, in the last period prices are:
Race category entries: 700 EUR/person, Adventure category entries: 400 EUR/person.
